It's fantastic to see the games you have created this year, well done everyone!

Being a coder is a little bit like being Harry Potter, only for real.  Writing code is like writing a magic spell.  We can write a few lines and suddenly we can make a kangaroo jump over barrels, a ball fly into the back of a net or a helicopter rescue people trapped near a volcano.  We can create any world and make anything happen in code.  We are all wizards, we all have magical powers when we can code and we can spread magic with our imagination.  Thank you for using your imagination and creating your magical games.  I hope that some of you will consider writing software as a career, it's absolutely one of the very best jobs; it's every bit as good as being a wizard.

Great work, very creative!

By the way I had a bit of difficulty loading these in Fuse. The solution was to make sure you are in 128K Spectrum mode and load them using the Tape Loader option from the start menu. If I might make a suggestion, it would be helpful to have a ZIP file containing all the games in one download.

Thanks!

Got a full playlist of the games here :)

Thanks to everyone who created them.

These were a lot of fun. Some great imagination went into them! If I had to pick, I'd have to award the following medals:

Bronze: Space Adventure

Silver: Top Hat Timmy

Gold: Barbra Run

Sadly there was no download for "Smiley Man"

These are great fun! I particularly liked Top Hat Timmy's animation, the graphics in Tommy's Crazy Adventure and Barbra Run, and the one I spent most time on was Space Adventure which is really tricky - still haven't completed it yet!

(Can't see a download link for Smiley Man though?)

Well done to all the kids and thanks for making these games! I played them all and they're all awesome! Which is my favourite? Ooh, that's tough. There's so many things I like about these games. It's close. I think Tommy's Crazy Adventure is my favourite overall. My favourite sprite is Top Hat Timmy! My favourite screen is the house in Barbra Run. But there's something I like about all these games!

Fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed last years games, so I’ll be downloading and playing through these this evening.

42 years, and the Spectrum is STILL getting new games! Well done to your students!

Like every year these are so cool!

It's great to hear of young kids  being shown how you program and use "old' computers. Congrats to all those involved!
